Big Cat Adventure

Big Cat Adventure is a unique tour which offers you a once in lifetime achievement of seeing 3 out of the 4 species of Big Cats (Panthera). With India being the only Country in the world where this is possible, for the safari enthusiast this is a tour not to be missed.

Starting off in Sasan Gir, which is famous for being the only place left where the Asiatic Lion (Panthera Leo Persica) is found in the wild. For this reason Sasan Gir is recognised as one of the most important protected areas in all of Asia. Here we will explore the arid scrubland in search of the “King of Beasts”. Sasan Gir is also known as one of the best places in India to see Leopard (Panthera Pardus Fusca). This elusive cat is also one of the most graceful of Big Cats. Other wildlife that reside here are Rusty Spotted Cat, Honey Badger, Chaushinga (four horned Antelope) and Chinkara.

From here we will make our way to Madhya Pradesh and two of its most famous Tiger Reserves, Kanha and Bandhavgarh. These two parks are known as "Tiger Havens" and have some of the highest ratio of Tiger sightings in the world. The dense Sal Forests offer prime habitat to see the Royal Bengal Tiger (Panthera Tigris Tigris), voted everyone’s favourite animal in the world. This large cat is extremely elusive and seeing one is an exhilarating experience and certainly one of the top moments any wildlife enthusiast could wish for. Other notable wildlife of these parks include Hard Ground Barasingha, Dhole, Sloth Bear, Leopards and Gaurs.

Itinerary

Day 1 Meet and greet (Mumbai Airport) – overnight Mumbai.

Day 2 Fly to Dui for transfer to Sasan Gir

Day 3/4 Sasan Gir

Day 5 Morning game drive. Transfer to Diu for connect flight for Mumbai.

Day 06 Morning fly to Nagpur and then travel to Kanha.

Day 07 Kanha

Day 08 Kanha to Bandhavgarh

Day 9 Bandhavgarh

Day 10 Bandhavgarh

Day 11 Bandhavgarh to Umeria - overnight train to Delhi.

Day 12 Depart Delhi
